Visa-free regime for World Hockey Champion fans in Minsk in 2014 will be introduced from April 25 to May 30.
The guests that come for the championship will only need to demonstrate a ticket for a match (hard copy or electronic one) and the passport, no visa.
There are already 15 checkpoints determined, through which the greatest influx of championship participants and guests is expected. They are the Minsk National Airport, Minsk-1 Airport and Gomel Airport, 8 road transport checkpoinst: Kamenny Log (Lithuania), Kotlovka (Lithuania), Berestovitsa (Poland), Bryzgi (Poland), Brest (Poland), Domachevo (Poland), Novaya Rudnya (Ukraine), Novaya Guta (Ukraine), and four railway checkpoints: Gudogaj (Lithuania), Brest (Poland), Teryukha (Ukraine), Terekhovka (Ukraine, Russia).
The head of Belarusian Border Department also said that the queue management system is going to be introduced at the Belarusian border.
Together with the queue management system, special service zones for autos to wait their turn will appear at the border. Small motels are planned to be opened there.
Also such a function as the online register for border crossing is going to be introduced. On the website of State Border Committee of Belarus (gpk.gov.by) one can book a certain time. For example, to cross the border from 11am to 12pm. However, if the traveler is late, he will have to stand in common line.
