During the period from April 25 to May 31, 2014 foreign tourists travelling to Belarus will be granted free use of the Belarusian toll roads. The decision is related to the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk.
Vehicles registered in the countries other than the Customs Union member states with the admissible total weight of not exceeding 3.5 tons and their trailers will be granted free passage during the mentioned period. Other transport vehicles will use the BelToll roads in a standard mode.
If there is an onboard unit in a transport vehicle, there is no need to take it off. The payment will not be charged off although the device gives signals as usual. Violations that entail fines in the form of bigger payments will not be registered during this period.
The BelToll operator has installed 83 stands with the relevant information in the Russian, English, Polish, and Lithuanian languages in border checkpoints. Ten more information stands have been placed near the corresponding checkpoints in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine in the language of these countries.
BelToll consultants will work in Belarus' ten busiest border crossings (Grigorovshchina, Urbany, Benyakoni, Kamenny Log, Kotlovka, Bruzgi, Varshavsky Most, Domachevo, Veselovka, Novaya Guta) to provide travelers with the information on the rules of using Belarusian toll roads.
